TasteBot, LLC ("FridgeWise," "we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application and related website that help users track groceries, maintain household grocery lists, estimate freshness timing, and manage fridge/freezer/pantry inventory (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use:
- The FridgeWise mobile apps.
- Our website and related pages.
- Any support channels we provide, such as email support.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are & how to contact us
- Controller: TasteBot, LLC - Texas, USA.
- Contact email: support@fridgewiseapp.com.
You can contact us at the email above with questions about this policy or your data.
2. Children's privacy

3. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information from and about you.
3.1. Account identifiers
- Email address.
- Authentication provider details if you sign in with Apple or Google, such as a provider-specific user ID and the email address associated with that account.
- Anonymous or guest account identifiers where guest access is available.
- We do not collect or store passwords for Apple or Google sign-in.
3.2. Grocery-list and inventory data
To provide grocery-list, inventory, and freshness features, we store information you enter, confirm, scan, import, or edit, such as:
- Grocery item names.
- Quantities, amounts, and units.
- Grocery-list notes, checked status, and checked times.

- Opened-state information where supported.
- Barcode and product data.
- Item categories, storage profiles, and related metadata used to organize inventory.
- The account that created or most recently changed shared inventory or storage data.
FridgeWise treats this as grocery tracking data, not as medical, dietary, or food-safety advice.
3.3. Photos and imported content
You may choose to upload or capture content, including:
- Receipt photos.
- Grocery photos.
- Shopping list photos or text.
- Other item-related images or details you add to the Service.
We process this content to identify grocery items, prefill inventory details, estimate freshness timing, and provide related app features.
3.4. Household and invitation data
If you create, join, or are invited to a household, we may collect and store:
- The household name.
- Member display names, roles, membership status, and account identifiers.
- The inviting member and destination household.
- Invitation links, tokens, fallback codes, status, creation and expiration times, and acceptance details.

FridgeWise uses the device's native share sheet to let an inviting member send an invitation through another app. We do not collect the recipient's email address, phone number, or other destination from the native share sheet.
3.5. Feedback and support messages
If you contact support or send app feedback, we may collect:
- Your message.
- Your email address or account identifier.

- Onboarding, auth, paywall, purchase, restore, and subscription-related events.
- Manual add, barcode scan, Smart Import, item-limit, and freshness-estimate usage events.
- Grocery-list add, edit, check, delete, and inventory-handoff events.

- Counts, success/failure status, cooldown status, and feature metadata.
- Free vs premium status.
- Device platform, app version, locale, and similar technical metadata.
We do not intentionally send raw barcode values, item names, grocery-list contents, grocery text, emails, photos, household names, member names, or household invitation codes or tokens in app analytics events.
We use analytics and attribution tools such as Firebase Analytics and AppsFlyer to help measure app usage, installs, and attribution in accordance with their policies.

- Free vs premium status.
- Product identifiers.
- General billing, renewal, cancellation, trial, and entitlement status.

- Comply with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our rights.
5. AI and automated processing
FridgeWise uses AI, automation, and deterministic rules to provide features such as Smart Import and freshness estimates.
When you use those features, relevant grocery/item/photo/text data may be sent to AI providers and related processors so they can analyze the content and return results. This includes grocery-list entries you select for Smart Import. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or based on inference. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting results before relying on them.
6. How we share information
We may share information with the following categories of recipients:
6.1. Service providers and processors
We use vendors to help provide infrastructure, AI processing, analytics, attribution, payments, paywalls, crash reporting, support, and product features. These include:
- Supabase.
- OpenAI.
- Firebase.
- AppsFlyer.
- RevenueCat.
- Superwall.
- Sentry.
- Open Food Facts.
- Apple.
- Google.
These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own terms depending on the service.
6.2. Household invite recipients and members
A person who opens a valid household invitation may see limited preview information, such as the household name, the inviting member's display name, current member count, and whether household Premium benefits are active.
If you join or create a shared household, current household members can see:
- The household name and member display names and roles.
- Shared inventory details, storage locations, freshness estimates, user-entered use-by and opened dates, item status, and item or barcode images.
- Shared grocery-list entries, including names, quantities, notes, and checked status.
- Inventory, grocery-list, and storage data you move into the household when joining.
Household members can add, edit, move, consume, and delete shared inventory; add, edit, check, uncheck, and delete shared grocery-list entries; and create, edit, or delete eligible shared custom storages. Household owners can also create or revoke invitations, remove members, and transfer ownership. FridgeWise does not provide item-level access controls within a household, so you should join or invite only people you trust.
6.3. Legal, safety, and enforcement
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, court orders, or governmental requests.
- Enforce our Terms of Service.
- Protect the rights, property, safety, or security of FridgeWise, users, or others.
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues.
6.4. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6.5. With your direction or consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so or give consent.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, support product features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain backups.
Household invitations are retained while they are pending and may be retained after they are accepted, revoked, or expire for a limited period for security, abuse prevention, support, and operational purposes.
If you leave a shared household or are removed, you lose access to that household. Shared inventory, grocery-list entries, storage locations, and related images remain available to the remaining household members regardless of which member originally added them.
When you delete your account, we delete your account, profile, household membership, and personal identifiers from our active systems. Content added to a shared household may remain available to its remaining members as part of their shared inventory or grocery list. Where shared content remains, we remove or deidentify your creator and editor attribution. If you own a household that has other members, ownership is transferred to another member. If you are the household's only member, the household and its active inventory, grocery-list entries, and related images are deleted.
These deletion practices are subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, legal, and operational retention. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before being deleted or overwritten.
8. Your choices
Depending on your device, account status, and applicable law, you may be able to:
- Access, update, or delete grocery inventory and grocery-list entries in the app.
- Create or revoke household invitations, leave a household, or, if you are the owner, remove members or transfer ownership.
- Change notification preferences.
- Disable push notifications through app settings or device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Delete your account through Settings where available.
- Contact us to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting information.
Some information may be required to provide the Service. If you delete or restrict certain information, some features may stop working.
Leaving a household, being removed, or deleting your account does not remove inventory or grocery-list content from a shared household that continues to have other members.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your device, email account, and authentication methods secure.
Household invitation links and codes allow another person to request access to a household. Share them only with an intended recipient and revoke a pending invitation if you believe it was disclosed unintentionally.
10. U.S. privacy rights
FridgeWise is currently intended for a U.S. audience. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about how your personal information is used.
To make a request, contact us at support@fridgewiseapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10.1. California privacy notice
California residents may have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, if it applies to us. These may include the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain uses of personal information.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may use analytics and attribution tools that process identifiers and usage data. If applicable law treats any of this as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may contact us to request more information or opt out where required.
We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16.
11. Do Not Track and device privacy settings
Some browsers or devices offer "Do Not Track" or similar signals. The Service does not currently respond to all such signals. You can use device-level privacy, tracking, notification, and advertising settings to control certain permissions and identifiers.
12. International users
The Service is currently intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as in-app notice or email, and indicate the new effective date.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the changes.
14. Contact
If you have questions or requests about this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at support@fridgewiseapp.com.
